With over twenty-five years of experience as an employment lawyer, Deborah conducted numerous workplace investigations at worksites ranging from Fortune 100 companies and public employers to smaller non-profits and family-owned businesses. She investigates a variety of issues, including workplace harassment, discrimination, sexual assault, whistle-blower complaints, bullying, fraud, and other areas of legal compliance.
Prior to founding DSWeiser Legal, Deborah worked in the nationally recognized employment law department of Paul Hastings LLP, where she counseled and litigated for employers across all industries. Deborah also worked as in-house counsel for Mattel, Inc., where she served as the Head of its Employment Law Department.
Deborah is a contributing author to the American Bar Association’s publication: Sexual Harassment and Retaliation, A Practical Handbook for Plaintiff and Defense.

Deborah received her Juris Doctorate from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles. She received her bachelor’s degree from the University of California, San Diego.
Deborah’s years of experience as an employment attorney and workplace investigator maximizes her ability to see all sides of an issue and maintain the integrity of the investigation. She is a perceptive listener who can connect with individuals in varied employment settings. ​
Deborah is skilled at effectively and efficiently managing investigations, which results in them being complete, thorough, yet cost-effective. She has developed an aptitude for obtaining and evaluating witness information and producing investigative findings that will withstand scrutiny.
Deborah is an Association of Workplace Investigations (AWI) Certificate holder.
